The Goblin Engineer

I've had this one finished for a couple weeks now, but I wanted to do some glazing for the glowy bits and the whites were taking forever to dry. On top of that, i had a couple other deadlines that took precedence. So at last, here's the final image for my Goblin Engineer painting. You'll notice the addition of a few elements, mainly the background, that I decided to add after the drawing in the previous post.

  3. Scott it looks great! The lighting is wonderful. I'm not sure if it's just my monitor, but it looks like there are a lot of really black blacks, and I wonder if you could lighten some of them just a tad, just to enhance the sense of depth. It's probably a personal preference. Either way, I really like it- especially his ruddy red nose! =D

  4. Hey Anna, Thanks!
That's a good point about the blacks. I can never tell because my monitor is super bright. I will try to check it out on my work computer and see if it's different so i can play with the levels.

  7. yep. That's definitely a winning image. Everything is working in there. Great job. And good to meet you at GenCon. That night ended up being more fun than I had brought pants to accommodate.
